Oh noes! They cut the umbilical cord!
So FB, WhatsApp and Instagram are down.
Twitter is (probably) exploding right now.
One thing it does bring to light is how much I rely on WhatsApp to keep in touch with family and friends, as well as Messenger.
FB itself is just a bit of a time waster for me, but those two… yeah. Clearly need to make sure there’s something independent from that available for text. (MS Teams springs to mind since that’s free now, and will be on everyone’s Windows machine once they upgrade to Windows 11. I’m beta testing 11 atm, that’s how I know.)
But hey, more blogging. 🙂
So yesterday I caught a mouse.
Three cats in the house, and I’m the one who catches the mice.
Seriously?
I set it free outside, a distance from the house… and Squeaky was faster.
RIP mouse.
Still. Everyone was very intrigued about the mouse in the trap.
The first new bale of hay arrived, just in case I need to bring the horses in unexpectedly. There is a field still grazeable, but I’m saving that one for now.
It’s been raining cats and dogs on and off today. A solid mix of torrential downpours and bright sunshine. No rainbows to speak of though.
Chainsaw hasn’t arrived yet. Hopefully tomorrow. At least that’s per the UPS tracking.
Guests will arrive tomorrow as well.
Did a quick check in the Gite, need to put last touches in tomorrow morning, but it’s ready. Changed over to the thicker blankets, as it’s a bit chilly now at night.
I did get some nice “moody” pictures today tho, with massive clouds.
Other than that I haven’t really done much, just the usual chores, collected apples in between downpours, but nowhere near as many apples as last year. I drowned in apples last year, this year it’s all very sparse.
Bad year for Cider.
The plan is to paint the living room wall during the next downpour, and when the weather is decent to dig over the veg plots and reset the boundaries of them ready for next year.
Had an awesome idea for a table and bench, so will see if I can build what I have in mind.
Might do the bathroom as well, if I’m in the mood. God knows it could use a lick of paint, but it’ll be a major scrub job first to get the old flaky stuff off.
If I find some nice tile paint… I’ll do that too.
Can you paint shower trays???
Anyway, that’s about all for the day.
Ta-ta, toodle-pip and all that.
